About Tina

Tina Bilyeu, LMHC

Welcome. I am Tina Bilyeu, LMHC.

I know that reaching out for help can feel daunting. Often, people wait until they are completely overwhelmed before looking for a therapist. Whenever you choose to start, my priority is making sure you feel safe, respected, and heard.

I work with teens, adults, and couples facing anxiety, trauma, and complex life transitions. Having a multicultural background and being fluent in Arabic, I understand how culture, family expectations, and identity can impact mental health. I welcome Arabic-speaking clients and those looking for a culturally sensitive space to process their experiences.

All of my sessions are online. I see clients throughout Florida, and I also work with Arabic-speaking clients and expats abroad, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and other Arab countries, with a particular focus on trauma therapy for women.

My approach

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. I use a person-centered foundation, meaning I follow your pace and prioritize our therapeutic relationship. From there, I integrate evidence-based practices depending on what you need:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma and PTSD, helping the brain properly process painful memories.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and change unhelpful thought patterns.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build psychological flexibility and live according to your values.
  • The Gottman Method for couples counseling, focusing on practical tools to improve friendship, conflict management, and shared meaning.

Education and credentials

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Florida (License MH27127)
  • Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Liberty University
  • Trained in EMDR
  • Trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy
